A record-breaking 450 guests attended the 2019 KidWorks’ 13th Annual Foundation for Success Luncheon at the Doubletree Hotel in Santa Ana, netting $820,707 to fund afterschool education and leadership development programs conducted by the nonprofit headquartered in central Santa Ana. The Dan Donahue Leadership Award was presented to longtime supporters Heidi and Ruben Mendoza, and the late benefactor’s Uncle Dan Bears were part of the fundraising effort.
